Federico Morettibrand:GNU was originally designed in the late 2005, taking inspiration from an MTV show – that performed non-commercial videos of emerging artists and bands – called “brand:new” (the show itself no longer exists), plus the GNU acronym — because I’m a user, involved in free software developing.

I started blogging some years before – with different titles and nicknames – on a free MT hosting: so I moved to Blogger (it hadn’t been acquired by Google yet), learning a bit of — the first markup language I met. But my love is all for WordPress as self-hosted CMS, right now.

I’m Federico Alfredo Moretti (Federico Moretti) AKA fedmor and I own brand:GNU, the web site for b:G | studio — the individual company that’s covering all of my projects. I live in Varese, Italy – a small town ab. 50Km north of Milano – where I was born and I work as publicist for a national nanopublishing network.
